My most recent work investigates patterns through process — those resulting from repetitive action and ritual, specifically created by natural means over time. It is my aim to respond to these patterns, limiting my own identity and hand in the work. In doing so, a new form emerges from an object or place that has been overlooked, dismissed, or ignored. My approach has focused increasingly on transience and change and less on the finished object, which has led me to experiment with multiple disciplines including working directly on specific natural sites, painting, ink block printing, video, installation and "drawing" with found elements.
Since the mid-1990's, I have completed numerous commissions for Time, Rolling Stone, Reader's Digest, GQ, the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Dow Jones, the Grammy Awards, Warner Brothers and Netscape among others. Over the past decade, I have lived and worked in Spain, Philadelphia, Orange County, Minnesota, San Diego, Germany and San Francisco and have exhibited in several galleries in the U.S. and abroad.
I live in Fort Collins, CO with my wife Alicia and daughter Paloma. (For now).
